FAMINE OF THE WORD

There is much confusion and bewilderment within both the Jewish and Christian religions as to the exact meaning and intent of much of the Bible, and there are literally hundreds of opinions on any given topic found within the Bible. If you are attempting to truly understand God's laws, precepts, and principles, where can you find a book, a teacher, or a group of people who truly understand God and his teachings? Are we living in the times spoken of by the Prophet Amos? Yes, we are living in the times of Amos' prophecy of a famine of God's word. However, for those whom the Sovereign Father is calling to salvation, there is no need to remain ignorant. Moreover, you who are being called can eat and drink of God's word if you will seize the moment and come to the table of the Lord.

CYRUS: GOD'S ANOINTED SHEPHERD

Nearly 150 years before Cyrus was born, the prophet Isaiah foretold his birth, his name, and the tasks that the Creator God had predetermined for him to accomplish. The Bible records that certain people are foreordained to be born and carry out specific tasks for God during their lifetime and a few of these individuals are even named before their birth. Cyrus the Great was one of these individuals whom God had predestined to play a pivotal roll in his awesome plan for humanity.

This article shows the incredible prophetic importance of King Cyrus and how God used him to destroy the Babylonian empire, bring to a close a 70 year punishment of the Jews that God imposed on them for their rebellion against him, and set into motion his 70 week prophecy which among other things: fixed the year for the Messiah's death and resurrection, reveals the sequence of events and dates for the Messiah's return, brings to an end human rule of the earth, and ushers in of the government of God over the entire earth.

HEAVEN AND EARTH TO VANISH

While speaking to his disciples about the end of the age of human rule on earth Jesus said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away" (Lk.21:33; Mk.13:31). Many people believe that when Jesus spoke of heaven and earth passing away, he was only speaking metaphorically in relation to the endurance of his teachings. However, he did indeed foretell that the present heaven and earth would cease to exist. Not only did Jesus reveal this event to his disciples while he was alive but also he allowed the apostle John to preview this future destruction about sixty years after his death and resurrection.

It is a little known fact that the prophet Isaiah, Malachi, Matthew, and the apostles Peter and Paul spoke of the cataclysmic event when this present universe and earth would cease to exist. Notice what the prophet Isaiah said about this future event:

This study reveals when and why heaven and earth will vanish and what kind of a being you must be if you are going to survive this cataclysmic event.

HOLY CONVOCATIONS AFTER CHRIST'S RETURN

Throughout the Bible, there are many prophetic scriptures which show that the commanded observances and holy convocations will be observed after the establishment of the government of God on earth. Many people puzzle over these scriptures, wondering if these scriptures are just analogies or if they contain prophesies that will be fulfilled in some future nation of Israel or during this age. This study reveals why these observances and convocations mentioned in many prophecies are necessary in order to the worship of God and why they will be practiced along with the sacrificial system during Jesus Christ's reign on the earth.

SECRET RAPTURE: A FALSE PROPHECY

The vast majority of professing Christians believe that there is a biblical prophecy proving that believers will be secretly taken by Jesus Christ to heaven either before or during the period of time commonly called The Great Tribulation. This teaching is known to most as the Secret Rapture and it is believed almost universally by professing Christianity. However, the major problem with this teaching is that the coming of Christ will not be a secret to the elect nor will it be a silent event.

THE 70-WEEK PROPHECY: PAST AND FUTURE FULFILLMENT

The mysterious 70-week prophecy recorded by the prophet Daniel has baffled Bible scholars and theologians for centuries. Many have attempted to identify the beginning and ending dates of this prophecy using a continuous time-line from past benchmark dates. However, the problem with this is that the time allotted for the fulfillment of the 70-week prophecy has already passed and the prophecy has still not been fulfilled. This means that either the prophecy is false or the methods of calculation have been invalid.
